Don’t Buy Wyndham Resorts Timeshare (formerly Fairfield)
December 17, 2007
I have spent better part of the day arguing with Wyndham resorts about our timeshare. This is my gripe:
They don’t have a cancellation department! They literally want you to fax or (snail) mail them in order to cancel their service. Oh, and if you miss a payment, they request the entire balance of your timeshare in full! This company is a such a rip off I don’t even know where to begin.
We were sold on the Las Vegas time share, right then I should have known it was a scam. They suck you into the “Discovery Package” for about $100/month, then if you miss a payment (as we did, because our billing info changed) they demand the balance of the time share (not the past due amount) or you forfit the amount of money you already paid.
We paid them about $1,050.00 that we lost because of the shady business practices of Wyndham resorts. In the future, I recommend that if someone wants to sign up for a timeshare, they Google “Don’t buy Wyndham Resorts“. You will find plenty of articles about frustrating experiences worse than mine. It is time we stop companies like this from taking adantage of their customers!
