Spymaster Traffic Update, iPhone Saga

Spymasters’ traffic appears to be coming back down to earth, closing the gap between itself and iList.

(It is important to note that Compete.com can give you insight to statistical trends, however, it is consistently inaccurate when compared with actual analytics.) Especially when you consider most of the game play takes place off site, and with the new iPhone app, the real teller might be the hashtag trends.

That trend appears to be declining as well.

I expect the Directorate to rebound with the news of their iPhone app finally getting accepted to the App Store after brief surprise take-away by Apple.

Another thing we can’t track very well, publicly at least, is the Facebook App usage. We do know they have 1,100+ fans and 4,000 active monthly users.

I’d really like to see iList/Spymaster get another round of funding or reach profitability before they run out of steam. There is a talented team over there capable of amazing things.

  1. At the moment, players are trying to buy Spymaster after receiving notification its closing at the end of April 2010. Many of the original Beta testers, like myself, have seen many new players join in the last few weeks and feel it could flourish again,in the right hands.
