App Wednesday: Tweetie 2.0
In spirit of App Wednesday, we’d like to recognize Tweetie 2.
We were apprehensive to jump on the bandwagon last week because of all the hype. I wanted to try the app for myself and get used to some of the new idiosyncrasies. After a week of testing, I am convinced this is an app you need to buy if you Twitter.
Much like Facebook mobile was a better app than Facebook.com, Tweetie 2 is a much more usable app than twitter.com.
It won’t be long before Tweetie 2 is at the top of the app charts. They combined the best aspects of Tweetie for Mac and for iPhone. Here are some of the new features:
- Improved search
- Better App Integration (Favrd, Favstar.fm, TweetPhoto, Bit.ly, etc)
- Multiple Drafts (autosaves where you left off)
- Nested conversations
- Link your address book with Twitter
- Support for the new Retweet feature
Still, there are the people that feel Tweetie 2 should be an upgrade rather than a new purchase, however we feel it’s worth it.
